Our medical directors are available to consult with our clients and medical staff.
The medical director is charged with ensuring that the process Sierra Nevada Administrators uses to review and approve, modify, delay or deny requests by physicians or other health care providers is in compliance with state and nationally recognized guidelines. At the client’s request, the medical director can perform retrospective or concurrent reviews on medical cases, bringing additional expertise to more complex or questionable cases as well as an intimate knowledge of the local medical community.
Our medical director is board certified in occupational medicine, certified as a medical review officer for the interpretation of drug tests, and is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the American Osteopathic College of Occupational and Preventive Medicine. Additional professional medical reviewers are available in a number of other specialties.
